TRANSITION WOMEN’S WEEKEND EAST

AT RIDE KANUGA BIKE PARK IN HENDERSONVILLE, NC

Join us for another legendary weekend on bikes - ripping around on fun trails, sessioning with encouraging friends, honing your approach to technical riding, learning new skills, eating delicious food, connecting with like-minded riders, and so much more.

This Party In The Woods is brought to you by Transition Bikes who will have free demo bikes available to interested participants. Giddy-up!

Hosted by Radical Roots MTB Instruction and EndlessBikeGirl MTB Skills with a rockstar line-up of coaches this inclusive event will be kept small with only 35 participants.

Ride Kanuga Bike Park is packed with high quality, safe, and unique mountain bike specific trails; which equip and encourage both new riders and seasoned professionals to gain new skills and experiences. These trails deliver the best possible mountain bike experience in Western North Carolina in Hendersonville, a close 30 minutes from Asheville and Brevard. With plenty of lodging options at Kanuga too, you can stay close and leave the car keys in your pack all weekend.

The weekend will kick-off on Friday night with a casual meet-and-greet party at the Ride Kanuga Conference Center so students and coaches get a chance to mingle. On Saturday and Sunday we will split into smaller groups based on goals and previous experience then spend 6-7 hours on the bike each day honing skills, building confidence, riding, and deepening your understanding of complex mountain bike techniques. On Saturday night we will gather again for a private dinner party, allowing us to relive the fun of day one and continue to get to know each other.

The coaches’ progressive approach to teaching starts students in a low-consequence setting, using our “progression props” and purpose-built features, giving them time to focus on proper body position, timing, and execution of fundamental and complex skills. Then they methodically add the next level of complexity for each skill so that their students are powered by the confidence of these successful successions.

Regardless if your goals for the weekend are to learn the basics of mountain biking or learn how to catch more air and ride faster - our coaches tailor the lessons to the rider’s goals. Each student will also receive some “fun homework” with a skills re-cap sheet and study guide to help them continue to progress well beyond our weekend together.
